- Heavy Diesel Engines: Proven hands-on experience working with Heavy Diesel Engines across the Automotive, Marine, Bus, Coach, or HGV sectors.
Qualifications:
- An NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering field.
Required:
- A full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years and the flexibility to manage a regional area.
Compliance:
- Readiness to complete a standard rail medical and drug & alcohol test to begin employment.

The Daily Operations & Shift Pattern
- The Shift: A predictable, structured 4-on, 4-off shift pattern consisting of a split of 2 days and 2 nights (12-hour shifts, 7am to 7pm / 7pm to 7am – this includes your commute).
- The Role: Delivering preventative maintenance, rapid response, and overhauls on diesel-powered engines.
- The Territory: Conducting high-level diagnostics and interpreting complex engine data out in the field, covering critical assets across London and Bristol.
- The Base: You will operate as a field engineer, with your main supporting depots located in West London and Bristol.
What You Earn & Financial Perks
- Base Salary: £38,000 per annum.
- Company Van + Fuel
- Door-to-Door Pay: Your shift starts the moment you leave your house and ends when you get back. You are paid for every mile of travel.
- M25 Allowance: If your home address is within the M25, you will receive an additional 15% salary allowance.
- Elite Pension: After 3 years, the company contributes 12% to your retirement (with a 6% contribution from you), totalling 18% pension contributions each year, which is double the industry average.
Minimum Requirement: NVQ Level 3 qualified within Engineering with hands-on experience.
