The Role and About You

As a qualified Mechanical or Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for keeping a modern fleet of rail vehicles operational and safe. Whether you are from a background in HGV maintenance, aerospace, plant machinery, marine, the armed forces, or REMEs, your transferable skills in heavy maintenance are exactly what is needed. What you will be doing
- Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and complex repairs on a modern fleet of rail vehicles.
- Reactive Fault Finding: Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime and ensure operational excellence.
- Operational Support: Carry out essential pre-use checks on tools and equipment, and support key tasks such as topping up fuel and sand levels.
- Compliance: Adhere to rigorous engineering standards and procedures, ensuring all relevant documentation and asset management systems are accurately completed.
To join the team, you will need to pass a basic DBS check, a Drugs & Alcohol test, and a full rail medical.
