We are recruiting for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure alliance delivering one of the UK's largest water capital investment programmes. Working within a collaborative partnership comprising leading contractors, consultants, and Anglian Water, this role offers the opportunity to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. Schemes range from planned framework projects to bespoke capital works and reactive/emergency programmes, with project values typically ranging from £200k to £10m+.

The Role
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading the commercial management of multiple infrastructure projects across the programme. You will play a key role in supporting project delivery teams and senior management, ensuring robust commercial controls are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires strong commercial leadership, contract management expertise, and the ability to drive value while mitigating commercial risk. Working closely with clients, supply chain partners, and operational teams, you will ensure projects are commercially successful while maintaining high standards of governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Management
- Preparation of accurate cost and value reporting at project and business unit level
- Production and management of monthly CVRs, forecasts, and commercial plans
- Cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Cost management and financial performance monitoring
- Preparation of applications for payment through to final account settlement
- Identification, management, and realisation of commercial opportunities
- Management of commercial risks and mitigation strategies
