We are partnering with our client, a longstanding leader in rope access and work-at-height engineering across rail, construction and infrastructure. With huge demand for safe, compliant, specialist access solutions, we are seeking a hands-on Rope Access Equipment, Tools & Plant Manager to drive operational excellence from the depot floor.
This role is the operational heartbeat of the business, making sure front-line teams are equipped, compliant and ready to deliver. And for those who want it, there’s scope to expand your horizons — whether that’s stepping onto live project sites, growing into wider operational responsibility or progressing towards leadership. Responsibilities- Managing, inspecting and maintaining rope access, lifting & safety equipment (IRATA, LOLER & PUWER compliant)
- Overseeing goods-in/out, storage, asset allocation & vehicle coordination
- Preparing and issuing project equipment packs — tested, certified & mobilisation-ready
- Scheduling inspections, LOLER examinations, calibration & plant maintenance
- Managing tool registers, stock control and equipment procurement
- Coordinating with Project Managers & Supervisors for smooth project mobilisation/demobilisation
- Completing risk assessments and maintaining documentation for audit & compliance
- Supporting continuous improvement, depot systems upgrades & smarter ways of working
- (Optional) Getting involved in live projects and site visits to see your work come to life

You’re a practical, safety-driven leader with experience in:
- Rope access, lifting equipment or working-at-height disciplines
- LOLER, PUWER & IRATA requirements
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
- Strong organisation, communication and record-keeping
- Full UK driving licence
- A proactive mindset and commitment to doing things right
