We're working with a leading infrastructure consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced

Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SQS who enjoys the variety of working across major infrastructure programmes while being seconded into high‑profile client environments.

This role would suit someone with around

8-15 years' experience who is confident operating at a senior level, leading pre‑contract commercial activities, building strong client relationships and providing strategic commercial advice across major projects.

You'll be working on nationally significant infrastructure schemes, with a particular focus on the energy and electricity transmission sector, supporting clients through procurement, contract formation and commercial strategy.

The Role

Working closely with major infrastructure clients, you will

  • Lead pre‑contract commercial activities across complex infrastructure projects.
  • Develop commercial and procurement strategies.
  • Support procurement, tender evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
  • Provide strategic commercial advice throughout contract formation.
  • Administer and advise on NEC4 contracts.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior members of the commercial team where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • What We’re Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors who have

  • Strong pre‑contract commercial experience.
  • A solid understanding of procurement strategy, commercial strategy and contract formation.
  • Excellent knowledge of

NEC4 contracts , particularly Options A, C and E.

  • Infrastructure experience, ideally within utilities, energy, rail, highways or civil engineering.
  • Experience working with clients, consultants or Tier 1 contractors.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Ma
