The Store Manager leads day-to-day store operations to deliver sales, service, and brand standards. This role is accountable for commercial performance, leadership, customer experience, visual merchandising, and operational excellence, ensuring the store consistently meets targets while maintaining compliance and a positive, high-performing culture.
Key responsibilities- Drive sales, profitability, and KPI delivery (e.g., conversion, UPT, ATV) through effective trading, coaching, and floor leadership.
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team: recruitment, onboarding, rota planning, performance management, and training.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience aligned to GANT standards; handle escalations and embed service routines.
- Ensure strong visual merchandising and product presentation; execute guidelines, launches, and in-store storytelling.
- Manage stock and operations: deliveries, replenishment, stock accuracy, loss prevention, cash handling, and back-of-house standards.
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, policies, and local procedures; act on audits and operational actions.
- Report performance insights, risks, and opportunities to the Head of Retail and collaborate with regional partners.
- Commercial mindset with proven experience delivering retail KPIs.
- Strong people leadership: coaching, feedback, and building inclusive, motivated teams.
- Customer-first approach with confidence resolving issues professionally.
- Operational discipline and attention to detail; able to prioritise and execute in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communicator with strong planning and organisational skills.
