We are seeking a proactive, strategic and creatively driven Senior Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) to lead the end-to-end delivery of our digital marketing campaigns across our portfolio of touring productions. In this role, you will be accountable for filling seats in every city, managing national and local advertising budgets, and orchestrating a high-velocity promotional schedule. The ideal candidate will develop data‑driven strategies that strengthen our national brand identity while driving micro‑targeted, market‑by‑market ticket sales at every tour stop. You will operate as the central liaison between the production team, regional venue marketing teams, PR agencies, and ticketing partners—ensuring alignment, clarity, and seamless execution across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Campaign Development
- Formulate cohesive, multi-channel national tour marketing plans detailing timelines, asset deployment schedules, and revenue goals across regional markets.
- Design audience development initiatives that target specific regional demographics, group booking segments, and niche interest communities.
- Manage substantial marketing budgets, allocating spend across markets based on historical sales data, seating capacity, and real-time box office pacing.
- Oversee the production of all promotional assets, including key art, video trailers, social media shorts, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Direct paid digital media strategies encompassing localized SEO, PPC, and targeted social media advertising campaigns.
- Leverage CRM tools to deploy data-driven email marketing funnels and track automated abandon-cart or re-engagement flows.
- Partner directly with regional venue marketing managers and local promoters to maximize local box office channels and leverage regional venue databases.
- Build custom, market-specific asset packages including localized print, radio, digital ads, and out-of-home (OOH) media placements.
- Coordinate on-sale schedules and priority booking windows systematically across the entire tour routing.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Analyse real-time box office reports and ticketing metrics weekly to identify sluggish markets and rapidly pivot promotional strategies.
- Lead post-campaign audits, calculating return on investment (ROI) and cross-referencing spending against overall conversion benchmarks.
- Present transparent progress updates regarding revenue pacing, ticket inventory, and promotional impact to key internal and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of professional marketing experience, with at least 2 years explicitly focused on touring theatrical productions, live music, festivals, or experiential entertainment.
- Performance Delivery: Demonstrated success driving ticket sales and direct‑response outcomes across multiple local markets, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Analytical Expertise: Proficient with ticketing platforms, Google Analytics/GA4, Facebook Ads Manager/Meta, DSPs, and Excel/SQL (or equivalent). Able to translate complex data into revenue‑driving insights, strategic recommendations, and consistent KPI delivery.
- Budget & Media Buying: Proven ability to manage marketing budgets and execute media buys across national and hyperlocal campaigns, optimising spend efficiency and performance.
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the touring landscape, regional market nuances, and standard box office ticketing platforms.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to influence senior leadership, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and align venue marketing partners toward unified campaign goals.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment effectively managing overlapping timelines and campaigns across multiple geographic markets.
