We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven individual to lead residential development projects across the United Kingdom. This role will oversee the full project lifecycle — from site acquisition and planning through to delivery — ensuring alignment with business plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring programs for whole project cycle (RIBA Stage 0 to Stage 7) according to Master Implementation Program (MIP).
  • Responsible to be well-versed and up to date with the planning policy in the UK.
  • Coordinate on all planning submissions, tender drawings and construction drawings across departments, partners and consultants.
  • Shortlist the consulting engineers of the particular discipline to be invited to submit their services, financial proposal and recommend the consulting engineers for engagement.
  • Review the development’s engineering concept with respective engineers.
  • Ensure drawings review and design optimization objectives are achieved.
  • Involved in the financial feasibility studies of projects.
  • Monitor project expenditure i.e. consultant claims alongside the C&C (contracts and commercial department).
  • Consistently advocate sustainable environmental planning into departments.
  • Demonstrate leadership and commitment for the overall implementation of the quality and environmental management system in the department/project.
  • Ensure departmental environmental sustainability target/KPI are monitored and reported periodically.
  • Ensure applicable environmental responsibilities or authorities for relevant roles within its department are assigned, communicated and maintained as documented information.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the property development supply chain (i.e. architects, planners, contractors, cost consultants, sales agencies, DMs, etc) in London and other major cities within the UK in order to build a GL's proprietary deal pipeline in the UK.
  • Assist in conducting due diligence, coordinating with consultants, front negotiations with landowners on new land acquisitions in the UK in order to refine GL's accuracy in planning, sales and cost assumptions when acquiring new sites.
  • Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering/Town Planning/Architecture/Real Estate/Construction related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years working for developers, delivery of projects across full life cycle.
  • Experience in planning/pre-construction and delivery.
  • Experience working in joint venture partnerships.
