Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Stock Procurement Manager to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing hardware and associated licences across the organization particularly for onward sale. This role requires a strong understanding of hardware, vendor management, and procurement best practices.
What will you be doing day-to-day?
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for stock and inventory across multiple categories.
- Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to ensure timely replenishment.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and service improvements.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, including regular reviews and audits.
- Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and finance teams to streamline procurement processes.
- Analyse market trends and supply chain risks to inform purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
- Lead and mentor junior procurement staff, if applicable.
- Work with finance to ensure all financial reporting is completed in a timely manner and stock audits are completed as and when required.
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and forecasting abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems including SAGE.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
