Who are we looking for?
To support the Group function with the procurement of goods and services, as requested by various Gamma stakeholders. This includes (but is not limited to): stock, outsourcing, infrastructure and IT, software and communications and connectivity services.
What will you be doing day‑to‑day?
- To source goods and services through key suppliers to supplier spend through consolidation.
- To contact suppliers to check stock availability, negotiate pricing and agree lead times.
- Continually review supplier pricing and renegotiate with suppliers to achieve best value.
- Measure supplier performance, delivery and SLA’s.
- Work with group stakeholders and suppliers to maximise efficiencies and optimise supply chain delivery.
- To support Sales in winning new business through effective sourcing.
- Accurately manage, maintain and monitor key supplier contracts working with Contracts Manager.
- Support Gamma Ethical and Social Governance strategy and ensure procurement of goods or services in line with Gamma Ethical Procurement Policy.
- To use appropriate systems as required to raise purchase orders.
- To accurately process and expedite orders, updating all necessary internal documents.
- Address non-performing suppliers.
- Encourage and support compliance with Group Procurement policies and procedures.
- Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders / departments to facilitate any requests.
- Carry out any ‘ad‑hoc’ assignments as and when required.
- Ensure high levels of awareness for procurement activities are maintained throughout the business.
What you’ll need:
- Experience of working in a demanding and fast‑paced Procurement function.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Procurement contracting and supplier management.
- Knowledge and experience of using MS Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and good negotiation skills.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Literacy and effective communication skills.
