About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Platform Development, the Senior Java Platform Developer is a pragmatic and self-motivated individual who can both work on their own initiative and function well within a team.

The role will be expected to be able to give design recommendations and improve and maintain the current codebase.

Responsibilities

• Application Server & Micro-Service Design and Implementation
• Code reviews and mentoring
• Research new technologies and give design recommendations

Qualifications

• Must come with at least 4 years solid experience of design and development of stable, scalable Java EE applications and services.

Required Skills

• Excellent spoken and written English
• Experience of RNG-based gaming applications
• Extensive knowledge of Java and Java EE 8
• EJB3, Hibernate
• Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Microservices and Containerisation
• UNIX CLI, Shell scripting, SSH/Vim/Emacs
• SQL and RDBMS methodology
• Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodologies

• Maven & Nexus
• Docker
• MySQL
