Gaming Realms plc is the developer and licensor of mobile focused, real money games. Gaming Realms has experienced significant growth in the last year due to the success of our unique content and commercial partnerships.

We are seeking a Game Mathematician to design, analyse, and optimise the mathematical models behind gaming products. Develop game mathematics that deliver engaging gameplay while meeting target return-to-player (RTP), volatility, hit frequency, and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with designers, developers, artists, and QA throughout the game development lifecycle. This role will be reporting to the Senior Games Mathematician Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design mathematical models for Slingo slot games, table games, instant-win games, and other gaming products.
  • Calculate and verify RTP, volatility, hit frequency, feature frequency, jackpot contributions, and other key performance metrics.
  • Develop game mechanics that are entertaining, balanced, and commercially competitive.
  • Create and maintain mathematical specifications for game implementations.
  • Build simulation tools to validate theoretical calculations and game behaviour.
  • Perform Monte Carlo simulations and statistical analysis to verify mathematical accuracy.
  • Present and explain mathematical design decisions and how they affect player experience to technical and non-technical teams
  • Iterated on game mechanics based on feedback and performance data.
  • Support engine developers during implementation and verify that game logic matches the mathematical specification.
  • Ensure games comply with jurisdictional regulations and certification requirements.
  • Prepare documentation required for internal reviews and external testing laboratories.
  • Research new game mechanics and mathematical innovations to enhance player engagement.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3/4+ years of experience in maths development in the igaming industry
  • Strong understanding of probability theory, combinatorics, and statistics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Excel and statistical modelling.
  • Programming experience in C#, Java, or similar languages.
  • Ability to interpret large datasets and validate simulation results.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; wireframing, documentation and presentation skills
  • Proficient in JIRA or other project tools
