Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) is seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to join our Procurement team in the UK office in Bangor North Wales.

Any game or system which is released to the public must be able to show that it conforms to the required regulations. To do this, the game or system must be tested. What You Will Accomplish Here… You will have an opportunity to leverage your unique skills as a detailed, persuasive writer to produce concise, informative and credible sales proposals that differentiate our organization from our competitors and ultimately help our Company drive revenue growth. Your main responsibility will be gathering and formatting information, proofreading, editing, and obtaining approved content to deliver proposals and competitive bids (RFPs).

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prioritises target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval of content to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborates with the Sales Department to produce written Statements of Work proposals to be delivered to the client.
  • Organises multi‑stage draft reviews of sales proposals, based on feedback.
  • Revises content based on feedback from management.
  • Proofreads content for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and clarity.
  • Supports the proposal process by creating a list of tasks, assigning ownership of responsibilities, and maintaining an overall schedule to help ensure proposals are finalised on time to meet appropriate deadlines.
  • Tracks the queue of incoming proposals and updates the status of proposals in progress.
  • Processes signed proposals by updating internal department records.
  • Coordinates proposal content by reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs) and attending strategy meetings.
  • Performs compliance reviews of proposals and response content based on client’s solicitation instructions.
  • Research industry information, as needed.
  • Proposes new, creative ideas to develop competitive bid response materials.
  • Develops templates for commonly proposed services, as assigned.
  • Follows and maintains procedures for RFP development.
  • Develops efficient processes for preparing and releasing regular content deliverables.
  • Maintains quality results by using templates and following proposal writing standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, or a related field is required; experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to communicate, both orally and written, with other members of the team and candidates.
  • Must have the ability to handle and organise multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
