What You Will Accomplish Here…
The Government & Regulatory Affairs Executive is responsible for developing and managing relationships with government and regulatory bodies within their assigned territory. This position works with management to position the Company as a trusted partner for governments and gaming regulators, helping to navigate the complex landscape of gaming regulations, advocating for their interests, and promoting regulatory compliance.
Essential Functions ( Duties and Responsibilities)
- Facilitates positive relationships with government and regulatory bodies, ensuring they are provided with professional, courteous and timely support and service.
- Maintains records of all visits and contacts and regularly updates and maintains government and regulatory bodies information in the CRM system.
- Maintains a knowledge of relevant regulations in assigned territories, including changes in law.
- Analyses industry trends, and competitive landscapes, and identifies emerging market opportunities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of common industry technical standards, including but not limited to the GLI Standards, to be prepared for meetings/speaking engagements where interaction will take place with different regulators.
- Maintains a working knowledge of current regulations, certification processes and industry trends.
- Maintains a strong understanding of GLI Services and tools.
- Supports and implements strategic plans to accomplish Company goals.
- Works collaboratively with internal departments, as needed.
- Participates in trade shows and/or regulatory conferences.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Educated to degree level
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in a related position.
- Previous sales/development experience is strongly preferred
- Previous regulatory or operational experience is strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver\’s license.
- Must have current passport and the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
An equivalent combination of experience, education, or demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory development may be evaluated and considered in lieu of the experience requirements.
Required skills / abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required.
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision, including navigating unfamiliar situations with ease.
- Must have the ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
- Must have the ability to write accurate reports and business correspondence.
- Must have the ability to create clear and engaging presentations.
- Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external parties in an engaging and professional manner, including large audiences.
- Must have the ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
