Gamescene are a Bristol based retail business specialising in the sale of new & used video games, consoles and accessories. In addition, we buy and sell technology gadgets such as tablets, phones and laptops, and retail popular trading card games such as Pokemon, Yi-Gi-Oh and Magic the gathering.

The role is a part‑time position working 17.5 hrs per week. Thursday 11‑4, Friday 10‑5.30, Saturday 11‑4.

Your role will be to buy and sell new and pre‑owned goods to customers in store. You will also actively promote products using sales techniques, questioning and listening to understand the customers’ needs and advise customers on how the product best suits them.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of modern gadgets such as game consoles, mobile phones, tablets, PCs, or prior experience working within this retail sector.

Key responsibilities
  • Help achieve sales targets whilst maintaining and enhancing the company’s image
  • Provide excellent customer service by continuously developing product knowledge
  • Demonstrate merchandise while recognising selling opportunities and linking sales
  • Replenish stock and maintain high standards of merchandising and housekeeping throughout the store

Working on a Thursday & Saturday alongside our store managers, and once fully trained working mostly solo on Fridays. You will be working across both our stores (Fishponds & Kingswood) as required, with extra hours available as holiday cover and at Christmas.
