Games Workshop have an exciting opportunity to join our Warhammer Studio in our Miniatures, Book & Boxed Games team as we see continued growth towards a customer focused, agile software engineering team working on modern architectures and technologies.
As a Mid-Level Android Developer, you will work on new and existing mobile apps that support our Warhammer hobby. These apps enable customers to build armies, lookup rules or redeem additional digital content and engage with products such as painting miniatures, playing games and Warhammer+ content. You will work in an Agile environment with Scrum, Sprint, Product and other delivery functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop Android applications and contribute to both new and existing mobile apps that support our Warhammer hobby.
- Collaborate with other developers and test analysts to develop robust testing processes that enable rapid delivery of high quality software.
- Identify technical debt and areas for process improvement to deliver value to Games Workshop.
- Participate in Agile delivery methods and ensure quality through code reviews and feedback.
Qualifications
- Experience in Android applications with a strong understanding of Agile delivery methods.
- Experience with Unit Testing, Jetpack Compose, Room or other SQL data layers, and Kotlin coroutines.
Location
This role is home based, with occasional visits to our UK head office in Lenton, Nottingham.
