Games Workshop is recruiting for an exciting and rare opportunity for a Financial Systems Accountant, initially on a 12-month contract, to support our global Systems Improvement Programme. This role supports the modernisation of our American business from legacy IT systems to a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution. Taking a methodical approach, you will support the end-to-end transformation of the American finance systems, working closely with Finance, IT and external implementation partners.
Working closely with the Financial Systems and Controls Manager, you will help ensure that the financial elements of each stage of the project delivery are completed.
Responsibilities- Support requirements gathering, solution design, testing & implementation, training & development and post-implementation support.
- Ensure that all new global standard processes have been adopted; support standardisation for finance processes and data quality analysis and migration.
- Collaborate within Finance and across the business, translating technical accounting detail into clear information for non-Finance teams.
- Contribute to risk assessments, defect troubleshooting and recommending improvements to designs.
- Work with the project delivery team to support a financial systems implementation underpinned by a technical accounting background and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Experience in project delivery within financial systems implementation; technical accounting background.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Inquisitive by nature with the ability to understand how the business works and translate that into analytical and technical accounting insights.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with Finance and other business areas.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to assess risk and support improvements.
