Warhammer World is the beating heart of the Warhammer hobby – a place where hobbyists travel from across the globe to play games, meet fellow enthusiasts and enjoy everything Warhammer. We are looking for a manager who can lead our Events and Activities Team and deliver world-class Warhammer events and activities celebrating the whole Warhammer hobby. This role is about more than simply organising events. It is about creating exceptional experiences for customers while leading a team that is passionate about the hobby and proud of what they deliver.
As Warhammer World Events and Activities Manager, you will develop and deliver the operational plan for all activities in the Warhammer World Events Hall. You will ensure that events and activities are run efficiently, professionally and to an exceptional standard while remaining within budget. From premiere events and organised play weekends to daily activities in the Events Hall, you will ensure that every visitor who walks through the door enjoys a positive and memorable Warhammer experience. During normal opening hours you will ensure the Events Hall provides an outstanding visitor experience that supports the wider Warhammer World strategy. You will monitor and report on performance so that we can continually improve and ensure every event delivers measurable success.
What we are looking for:
- You will be a strong communicator, highly organised and a thoughtful leader able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional standards.
- You will be confident in managing people, ensuring both visitors and staff have a positive experience.
- A strong knowledge of the Warhammer hobby — including building, painting and playing our games — will help you understand what makes Warhammer truly special for our community.
- Experience managing budgets, projects and working collaboratively in a customer-focused environment will also be highly beneficial.
Working at Games Workshop:
At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience. In addition to an excellent salary based on a global pay banding structure, we offer a range of benefits and rewards, including a company pension, sharesave scheme, training, recognition programs, and attractive staff discounts. On top of that, you’ll get to work in a fun environment with an engaging customer base.
