Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity to join our WebTech Team as a Mid-Level Cloud Native Engineer to be part of a team delivering critical customer facing eCommerce solutions and applications for Games Workshop, utilising modern technologies. As a Mid-Level Cloud Native Engineer you will spend time to really understand the challenges you are trying to solve, creating high quality solutions through collaboration with colleagues to ensure you deliver at pace. Working with other Developers and alongside Quality Assurance you will deliver digital product and platform changes using a strong engineering process ensuring solutions are reliable, secure and scalable for the Games Workshop business. Commercially aware and a keen problem solver, we’ll look to you to efficiently deliver quality solutions to business requirements, being aware of platform costs and working to optimise those wherever possible without compromising operations. Highly collaborative and a team player, you will work to develop robust testing processes which facilitate rapid delivery of high quality software upholding and raising the quality of team output through code reviews and feedback. Being highly knowledgeable in your field you will identify technical debt and areas of process improvement ensuring you deliver value to Games Workshop. You will have experience of working in AWS, with AWS CDK and/or infrastructure as code, to develop secure and scalable systems that are architected according to the AWS Well-Architected Framework. You will also be accustomed to using techniques like Test Driven Development and Paired Programming to create secure and performant software. The ideal candidate will have a positive outlook regardless of setbacks with great adaptability to change combined with an understanding of technologies such as TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS Technologies, GitHub and Contentful.
