Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for you to join our renowned design team as an Assistant Games Developer where you will be key to shaping the competitive landscape for Warhammer 40,000.
Articulate and thorough, you will support the design team to write and refine rules for Warhammer 40,000, while ensuring that the game remains engaging, strategic, and enjoyable for players around the world. A confident communicator, you will be responsible for sharing information and explaining ideas clearly and ensuring that all rules are fit for purpose.
With a deep knowledge of the rules and passion for the lore and setting, we will look to you to support the design team to conduct playtesting, analyse rules changes, and gather feedback from the competitive player community. Staying informed about the current metagame and competitive trends, you will engage with the Warhammer 40,000 player community by attending tournaments and events.
Collaborating with other designers, you will help create rules publications that challenge and inspire players. This will require working closely with other departments, and providing peer reviews and feedback to ensure rules integration and consistency across all aspects of the game.

Working at Games Workshop

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

Location: This role is based full time onsite at our UK Headquarters in Nottingham.
Contract: This role is for a 12 month FTC.
