We want you to #JOINTHEREBELLION! For 30 years we have been creating incredible video games at our multiple studios, but Rebellion is more than just games. We operate across multiple UK locations and employ a hybrid work pattern for this position from our studios located in Oxford and Warwick. We are looking for an all-new Senior Programmer to join our passionate automation team! Ideally, you will already have had some experience building automated test software and creating robust, maintainable systems. You will work closely with our in-house engine team, developing test tools and automation solutions to help ensure our products meet (and exceed!) performance and quality expectations.
Responsibilities- Develop and improve test automation solutions for game projects and our in-house engine
- Maintain and improve existing tools written in Python and C++
- Create high quality, flexible, maintainable code
- Analyse, communicate and interpret test results
- Improve continuous integration processes (e.g. improving the use of Jenkins)
- Research new tools, techniques and processes and how they can benefit Rebellion and our games
- Good professional experience using C++
- Excellent use of continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
- Knowledge of source control using Perforce or similar would be an advantage
- Excellent initiative, self-motivation and organisational skills with an ability to collaborate productively within larger multi-disciplined project team environments
- Games industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential
