Playground Games is looking for a Graduate Level Designer to join our Forza Horizon team on a contract basis.
ABOUT US: As a premier first‑party Xbox Game Studio, we are passionate about making genre‑defining games that are accessible, beautiful, and most of all fun. We are looking to expand our diverse team as we continue driving forward our BAFTA award‑winning Forza Horizon franchise.
ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Graduate Level Designer, you'll be working within the environment team collaborating with our established, talented artists and designers. You will use our in‑house proprietary tools to work on multiple game features with a heavy focus on gameplay.
Our ideal candidate is a promising and passionate applicant who has a strong interest in Level Design with a high focus on creating quality experiences. You will consistently push for quality, quickly and positively react to change, and be an excellent, approachable communicator. This is a contract role based in our state‑of‑the‑art studio in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in the studio. Relocation assistance is available if required.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Experience using 3D modelling packages and open‑source Game Engines
- Demonstrate experience building whitebox environments
- A high quality focus on the player's experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for games
