As a Senior Unreal Programmer at this studio in Farnborough, you will be planning and implementing an Unreal server, supporting game features, highlighting risks and working to mitigate them and a whole lot more. Senior Unreal Programmer responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate and implement an Unreal server for use in a multiplayer game
- Support game features in Unreal to deliver a game that performs well in the real world
- Create a backlog of work required
- Highlight and mitigate risks in the technical plan and provide timescale estimates
- Establish budgets for the game
- Ensure metrics are sent to the reporting system so network performance can be monitored over time
- Be a key contact for networking best practices in the studio
- Professional experience developing quality shipped PC / console / mobile games
- Strong knowledge of C++ programming
- Skilled in 3D maths, optimisation and data structures
- Experience shipping titles in Unreal engine
- Knowledge of the underlying architecture of how Unreal networks games
- Able to mentor junior members of the team
- Passionate about working in the games industry and making VR games
- Professional experience working with Unreal Engine 4 on shipped networked titles
