Are you a commercially minded lawyer looking for an opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-paced global technology business?

We're looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel to join our Legal team on an 18-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).

In this role, you'll work as part of our in‑house Legal team, supporting the business on a wide range of commercial and legal matters with a particular focus on technology, software licensing, online gaming and digital products.

You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation, providing pragmatic legal advice, managing commercial negotiations, and helping the business navigate legal risk whilst supporting growth and innovation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive lawyer who enjoys combining strong technical legal expertise with a commercial and solutions‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
  • Software licence agreements
  • Gaming licence agreements
  • Non-disclosure agreements
  • Service agreements
  • Amendments, terminations and novations
  • Branded and bespoke games agreements
  • Other commercial documentation
  • Managing and progressing contract negotiations with customers, suppliers and other third parties.
  • Advising the business on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Providing practical legal advice on a range of commercial and legal matters.
  • Supporting legal aspects of business projects and initiatives.
  • Identifying legal risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Assisting with the development, implementation and improvement of legal processes and protocols.
  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of legal templates and precedents.
  • Delivering training and guidance to stakeholders across the business to help manage legal risk.
  • Supporting Managing Counsel and the wider Legal team with ongoing legal matters and ad‑hoc projects.
  • Dealing with post-contractual issues and disputes as they arise.

Qualifications

We're looking for a commercially aware lawyer who is proactive, organised and able to balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

You’ll be confident building relationships across the business, comfortable managing multiple matters at once, and motivated by delivering practical legal solutions.

Essential

  • Qualified Solicitor or Advocate.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and contract review skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritise competing workloads and manage tight deadlines.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive and capable of taking ownership of matters from instruction through to completion.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience within the online gaming, sports betting, technology or digital sectors.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Knowledge of software licensing, digital rights, e‑commerce or related technology‑focused legal matters.
  • Experience supporting international businesses operating across multiple jurisdictions.
