Production Coordinator: Technology - removed

Rockstar is on the lookout for a talented Production Coordinator who is highly organised and passionate about supporting our Technology Production team.

This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s state-of-the-art game development studio in Edinburgh, Scotland.

WHAT WE DO

The Technology Production team provide production support across our Code, Tools and Design Systems departments to help create the celebrated games that we are known for. Production staff on this team can expect to leverage their technical and project management expertise every day to ensure on-time delivery of features at excellent quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee bug backlogs, including driving and refining estimates, triaging daily inflow, working with developers, QA, and Product to ensure bugs and tasks are appropriate and valid.

Support milestone planning and delivery through reporting, organising sprint meetings, running retros.

Maintain production timelines by liaising with your production peers within and across departments.

Identify inefficiencies in processes and work alongside your Producer to improve them.

Identify and close gaps in planning including un-estimated or unassigned work, blockers, and unforeseen dependency chains.

Communicate project status, risks and priorities to project leads, peers and other production staff.

Create and maintain documentation from a variety of sources, including meeting notes, design docs, weekly project updates, and emails, plus record tutorial and demo videos for feature areas as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in Production or Project Management roles.

Positive, solution-oriented individual with a passion for game development and project management.

Aptitude for working in highly technical areas.

SKILLS

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Eagerness to learn new skills and concepts.

An aptitude for working in a deadline-focused team environment, including ramping up quickly on new areas.

Proven ability to write accurate and descriptive software bug reports.

Proven ability to communicate and comprehend technical information in both written and verbal form.

Self-motivated and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.

An eagerness to learn new software and develop skillsets.

Experience using Microsoft 365 suite or similar.

Able to work both on a variety of tasks simultaneously: sometimes as a team and sometimes of their own autonomy.

PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.

Experience in shipping at least one video game title, ideally through submission and release.

Background in Computer Science or adjacent field.

An interest in video games and their development.

Participation in any academic or industry research or complex project development.

Experience with Program Management.

Familiarity with Game Creation or Modification Tools, including technologies such as Lua and C#.

Familiarity with Perforce or equivalent source control software.

Familiarity with Jira or equivalent bug/project tracking software.

Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio and Windows software development.

Experience reading and analysing technical output and/or crash dumps.

In-depth familiarity of Rockstar products is a plus.
