Are you a creative generalist, fluent in both 2D and 3D pipelines, who thrives at the intersection of art, marketing, and storytelling? At Jagex, the RuneScape: Dragonwilds team are building a beautiful world with exciting, cooperative gameplay experiences and we’re looking for a Marketing Artist who can bring that world to life beyond the game.
As a Marketing Artist, you’ll turn raw game assets into high-impact trailers, short-form social content, compelling visuals, and cinematic stories that fans want to share and watch again. From showcasing upcoming features to crafting partner-worthy trailers that set community forums alight, your work will play a key role in how players experience our game before they even log in! This is a hands-on, highly creative role that blends game development and marketing. You’ll work closely with the community and marketing teams, capturing visuals that inspire and elevate the RuneScape: Dragonwilds brand across channels.
What you’ll be doing:
- Capture cinematic-quality footage from Unreal Engine 5 using Sequencer and in-engine tools.
- Extract, optimise, and repurpose game assets for marketing use.
- Create polished 2D assets using Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Work in 3D tools such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max to light, animate, and enhance marketing scenes.
- Collaborate with marketing and community teams to deliver high-quality content across trailers, social media, creator campaigns, and events.
- Help define and uphold the visual tone and storytelling craft of the RuneScape: Dragonwilds brand in marketing materials.
- Adapt raw gameplay into engaging stories that resonate with our audience and elevate player hype.
What we’re looking for:
- A strong portfolio showcasing trailers and promotional content with cinematic flair and high visual impact.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, including Sequencer and asset handling.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects and Photoshop.
- 3D experience in tools like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max, especially around scene lighting, animation, and rendering.
- Strong sense of pacing, composition, mood, and emotional storytelling.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and maintain a cohesive visual identity across all media.
- Passion for fantasy worlds, community storytelling, and creating moments fans will remember.
- Demonstrable experience with live service games, open-world titles, or community-driven content.
