Jagex has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Full-stack Engineer to join our tooling team. Your mission? To help craft and maintain the tools and infrastructure that supercharge the Games Operations department (Player Support, Anti-Cheat & Localisation).
We’re a Scrum team of 7 people, made up of Full-stack Engineers as well as a Researcher and Analyst and work closely with other teams at Jagex to deliver the company vision. The role will involve working closely with our Engineers to create a variety of workflows and systems such as applications, APIs and scheduled data ingestions. You may also contribute to managing the systems architecture and infrastructure.
What you\’ll be doing:
Contribute to our key department initiatives.
Develop small features independently in Java and TypeScript and collaborate with our Senior Engineers on moderate-sized features.
Your primary output will be creating and maintaining services, applications and data ingestions.
Use CI/CD to contribute to a project as part of a team.
Engage in the development process by actively contributing code through pull requests.
Embrace constructive feedback provided during regular code reviews to enhance your skills and the overall code quality and maintainability of our tools.
Participate in technical discussions and offer ideas to shape both design and implementation.
Attend Agile Scrum meetings to help plan tasks within your domain.

What we\’re looking for:
At least 1-2 years of experience as a full-stack engineer.
Experience working with different programming languages, ideally spanning both front-end and back-end technologies.
