This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their animation career to grow their skills and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and creative environment. As a Junior Animator, you’ll work closely with our experienced animation team, contributing to character, creature, and prop animations. You’ll be encouraged to learn and develop your craft while helping bring our game worlds to life. The rundown: 12 month fixed term contract Full time (37.5 hours per week) Fully remote within the UK Salary is competitive and dependent on experience Key responsibilities: Assist in creating animations for characters, creatures, and props. Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to ensure animations fit the game vision. Learn and support animation implementation within Unreal Engine. Take feedback and iterate on animations to improve quality. Stay curious and up to date with animation trends and tools. RequirementsThe skills you’ll need: A good understanding of animation principles and techniques. At least 6–12 months of professional experience in an animation role (including internships or freelance work). Proficiency with animation tools such as Maya, Blender, or similar. A keen eye for movement and storytelling through animation. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Familiarity with working in a team environment, ideally within a game development or creative studio. The nice to haves: Experience with VR animation. Passion for VR and innovative technologies.
