A Graduate Programmer in our award-winning studio is the entry point into your career as a programmer in games development. As a d3t Graduate Programmer, you can expect to be fully supported by a dedicated mentor, learn from you project team and develop your skills within our open and supportive studio culture – giving you access to the extensive knowledge of over 120 experienced and talented engineers. Further to this, you will be working alongside multiple disciplines (Art, Design, QA, Production) with a team of over 250 developers at a company which has been consistently awarded ‘Best Places to Work’ by .
Graduate programmers at d3t can expect to work on high profile AAA games with our global clients. You will have the opportunity to discover where your programming passion lies, be that in gameplay, core tech, AI, tools or anything else. Our studios are at the cutting edge of technology and creativity, delivering co-development video game services to our global triple-A clients. Our successful studio is growing and you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects offering plenty of variety and involvement. Our studio projects to date have included: EA Sports FC 24, Hogwart’s Legacy, Vampire: The Masquerade – Blood Hunt, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Alan Wake Remastered, Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Assetto Corsa Competizione.
The Role – Responsibilities
Researching and planning your own tasks.
Collaborating with multiple disciplines around the world on systems and features.
Writing high standard C++ code in both Unreal and Proprietary engines.
Reporting back to project leads and producers.
Striving to learn and improve.

THE 2025 APPLICATION PROCESS
Please include a portfolio and cover letter with your application. Note that the Graduate Programmer role will be studio based (Cheshire or Tyne & Wear studio sites available).
December 2024 onwards : Applications Accepted
February – March 2025 : Application Reviews and Programming Tasks
The engineering recruitment team will be looking through the applications and begin sending out programming tasks to the short-listed applicants.
March – May 2025: Programming Task Reviews and Interviews
Applicants with successful programming tasks will be invited to interviews during this time. Expect to discuss your task, portfolio and have a chat about what motivates you as a programmer. Interviews will be held via video call.
March 2025 onwards : Offers to Successful Applicants
Candidates who have been successful at interview will be considered and offers sent out.
