Climax is one of the leading creative lights of independent games development with an outstanding line of top published titles. It truly is an exciting and inspiring place to work and you\'ll be based out of our new Edinburgh studio based in the heart of the city overlooking the historic castle.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated concept artist who has at least two years studio experience to join our award winning art team. This position will require an artist that is highly adept at photo bashing and is able to conceptualize monsters, beasts, characters, environments and illustrate new assets for our AAA games.

Requirements

Have an excellent understanding of form and function

Has a great eye for composition, lighting and colour theory

Work alongside the design and production teams

Create stunning characters and environmental art that captures the quality of our games

Ability to multi-task across various projects and to create concept art from stylised to photo real

Excellent illustration skills with the ability to create effective and coherent concept and sketch art.

Self-motivation and willingness to participate in many areas of game development

Passion for video games and the creation of worlds, creatures and characters

Solid knowledge of Photoshop

Proven ability in working with grey/white box draw over development

Portfolio that demonstrates an excellent eye for all things concept

Strong understanding of all aspects of concept art

Show a strong foundation in traditional drawing skills as well as have a proven track record of multiple drawing styles.
