About Us
Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide direct support for anyone who is affected by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and support pathways, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.
The Role
We are recruiting a Team Leader to cover a period of maternity leave for 9 months. There will also be the possibility of an extension. As Team Leader, you will lead the operational delivery of our Greater London support service that identifies, supports and provides interventions for people at risk of/or experiencing gambling related harms. You will be responsible for the ongoing improvement and evaluation of services, leading and developing staff to ensure high-quality outcomes for service users, as well as recruiting team members. You will ensure service users and other stakeholders are involved in the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of services in order to increase awareness of gambling related harms and the reach and impact of the service. Developing excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships, using service data to facilitate business decisions, and providing regular reports and communications on service operational progress are also key responsibilities of this role. This role is offered on a hybrid working basis. Monthly visits to the GamCare Head Office in London to attend meetings and training will be required.
About You
You will have strong leadership and people management abilities and be someone who takes pride in supporting individuals in their professional development, alongside setting high standards in delivering a quality service. You will have a keen determination to grow, develop and continually improve the service for those in need of our support, bringing the team with you to harness the collective strengths and talents of individuals. A relevant professional qualification in Psychology, Mental Health, Addictions, Social Work, Nursing, Health & Social Care, Public Health, Leadership / Management or equivalent experience is equally important.
