Founded in 1997, GamCare is one of the leading providers of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. It operates the National Gambling Helpline, delivers free treatment services across multiple regions in Great Britain, and raises awareness about gambling harms through a variety of prevention-based programmes. Our digital channels are central to how people access help — and this role sits right at the heart of that mission.
The Role
Shape digital journeys that genuinely change lives for the better. If you’re a strategic digital marketer who thrives on both creativity and analytics with measurable impact - and you want your work to truly matter - this could be your next move. GamCare is recruiting a Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager to lead our digital marketing presence at a pivotal time for the organisation. You’ll lead both our paid digital marketing campaigns, working with our agency, plus our earned channels (Meta, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Forums), using data and insight to optimise performance and demonstrate behaviour change impact. Working closely with internal teams, lived experience partners and external agencies, you’ll curate compelling content that connects people to our support when they need it most.
About You
You’re an experienced digital marketing professional who also has demonstrable, hands-on experience curating and optimising social media channels. You’ll use all this experience to combine creative flair with strategic thinking, and analytical rigour. You’re proactive, can prioritise and are confident raising the profile of your work with stakeholders at all levels. You’ll need to be confident in using analytics like GA4 to inform your strategies and plans and be comfortable talking to and influencing non-marketers at all levels about how they can help. You’ll bring significant experience in digital marketing and social media content management at mid-leadership level. Most importantly, you’ve got a keen eye on identifying ‘why should people care’ and can pull out that emotional hook in all the content and campaigns that you create.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and delivering GamCare’s digital marketing and social media marketing strategy and turning into a day-to-day reality.
- Creating short videos, infographics, and other online nuggets that help people who may be nervous about taking the first step to contacting GamCare.
- Planning and optimising data-driven paid media campaigns, working closely with creative and media agencies.
- Owning digital measurement and reporting, including GA4 dashboards, ROI analysis and performance reporting.
- Strategically managing all social and digital channels to deliver consistent, engaging content that drives service uptake and engagement.
- Developing and owning the annual digital content calendar, working collaboratively across teams to surface the best stories and insights.
- Delivering high-performing email/blog marketing programmes using segmentation, personalisation and A/B testing.
- Providing expert digital insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders, informed by emerging trends and audience behaviour.
- Managing budgets, agencies and suppliers to ensure strong performance and value for money.
- Supporting cross-team collaboration to embed best practice digital marketing across the organisation.
Benefits You Can Enjoy
- 33 days basic annual leave entitlement per annum (pro-rated for part-time colleagues) including bank holidays which increases with service.
- Flexible working and hybrid working options.
- A generous Pension Scheme - we contribute 6% and you contribute 2%.
- Discretionary company sick pay from day one of service.
- Employee Assistance Programme – 24-hour support.
