The Rural Municipality of Aberdeen No. 373 is now accepting applications for a part-time Transfer Station Attendant.
The successful candidate will be required to work: Wednesdays & Saturdays between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
**Please note that hours of operation may be adjusted in the future at the discretion of the RM Council.
Job duties to include, but are not limited to:
Accurately complete any required records, incident reports, or forms, as required.
Conduct daily site inspections during hours of operation and complete the Daily Inspection Log,
Monitoring the gate and residents entering the Transfer Station during hours of operation,
Directing ratepayers to the proper areas for unloading,
Collection and safe keeping of tokens, as required,
Ensuring a clean site,
Remedying incorrectly disposed-of refuse,
Participate in all mandatory employee training as deemed necessary by the RM C.A.O. and/or Council,
Report any necessary site maintenance and site incidents to the RM C.A.O.,
Submit all required reports, records, and tokens collected to the RM office monthly,
Adhere to the Municipal Employees Code of Conduct and all other pertinent municipal employee policies.
Qualifications include but are limited to:
Possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Ability to understand and utilize the Aberdeen Transfer Station Operational Plan and Emergency Plan,
Be safety conscience,
The ability to work independently,
Good communication skills,
The ability to work with the Public,
Ability to fluently read and write using the English language.
