The role involves working in Operations to translate regulation into action and ensure the industry understands and adheres to the legislation set out to protect the public’s interest. As an Intelligence Manager in the Sports Betting Intelligence Unit, you will focus on delivering the Sports Betting Intelligence work areas and supporting the wider work of the Intelligence Team. This role is vital in protecting sports from match-fixing and corruption, ensuring fair and transparent competition for those involved in the sport and betting consumers alike.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of the Sports Betting Intelligence workstream, ensuring effectiveness and contribution to tackling wider intelligence threats impacting the Commission’s strategic priorities.
- Managing and developing Sports Betting Intelligence colleagues who collect, evaluate, and analyse information, as well as disseminate intelligence products internally and externally to a wide range of national and international stakeholders.
- Exhibiting excellent planning and organisation skills to manage diverse demands, progressing IRFs, intelligence development, and providing resilience for other intelligence functions.
- Building relationships through operational and strategic collaboration with partners, the industry, and wider stakeholders, balancing conflicting agendas to reach resolution.
- Modelling the organisation’s Ways of Working and building capability, resources, and confidence within the Enforcement and Intelligence programme to enhance workplace culture.

- Proven experience managing and developing staff across a diverse programme of activities within tight deadlines to deliver results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, including delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences.
- Ability to interpret legislation and legislative changes and understand how this will impact our work.
