We are a successful and busy decorating firm, looking for a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our current team on a subcontract (day rate) basis, normally 2-4 jobs per month with an opportunity to work full time if desired. We are an Edinburgh based company, looking for someone local to take on work in and around Edinburgh and occasionally in Glasgow.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in painting & decorating and have excellent communication skills. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. A valid driving licence is essential for this position as it may require travel to different job sites. Must be CIS registered, please do not apply if you are not.

Duties
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with client specifications
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
  • Proven experience in painting and decorating in a domestic setting
  • Own tools including a dustless setup (all materials are supplied by business)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

Pay: £180.00-£190.00 per day
