A rapidly growing accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Director or Partner-level professional to join its Restructuring Advisory practice, working with SMEs and mid-market clients across a range of sectors. This is a rare opportunity to take the lead on advisory work with distressed businesses, work alongside Asset-Based Lenders (ABLs), and be directly winning work without the need for a network.

The Role

  • Leading restructuring advisory mandates, often for distressed or underperforming businesses in the SME to mid-market space.
  • Holding early-stage conversations with clients to assess options, evaluate risks, and recommend solutions.
  • Delivering Independent Business Reviews (IBRs), managing turnaround and restructuring plans, and preparing or reviewing integrated cash flow models.
  • Collaborating with ABLs and other key financial stakeholders on business viability and funding-related issues.
  • Driving new business and referral opportunities to support the wider growth of the advisory offering.

What You’ll Bring

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with experience in restructuring advisory matters alongside formal insolvency.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of working directly with business owners of SMEs.
  • Proficiency in delivering IBRs, financial analysis, and forecasting under time-sensitive conditions.
