I’m partnering with a world-leading, publicly listed software company that works with major government and commercial organisations worldwide. They’re hiring two Infrastructure Engineers to join their UK Government team in London.
The role
You’ll own the reliability of production infrastructure behind high-stakes government deployments. You’ll work at startup speed, with real autonomy and very little bureaucracy.
- Build, run and maintain high-performance, scalable services across UK government environments
- Own production reliability: monitoring, alerting, configuration management and upgrades
- Work with deployed engineering and product teams on systems design, and on diagnosing, fixing and preventing production issues
- Deploy new products and migrate environments to the latest infrastructure
- Lead automation work to remove manual operations, using in-house platforms and cutting-edge LLM/AI tooling
- Join an on-call rotation (roughly once every 5–6 weeks)
What they’re looking for
- 1–5 years in infrastructure engineering, SRE or platform engineering, building and running large-scale production systems
- Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker
- A CS or software engineering degree is preferred
- Experience in defence tech, government or a high-complexity tech organisation (big tech or cloud) is a strong plus
- Terraform, Ansible or CI/CD experience is a bonus
- Active UK DV clearance , already held. Being eligible to obtain it isn’t enough
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, within 30 minutes of the central London office. Relocation support is available.
