A highly successful and rapidly expanding accountancy practice is seeking an Insolvency Practitioner (JIEB‑qualified) to cover their presence across Greater Manchester as either Director or Partner, depending on experience. This is a rare opportunity to step into a firm with a significant internal referral network already generating consistent insolvency opportunities, while also giving you the autonomy to shape and grow your own external profile.
The Opportunity
- Take formal appointments and lead cases with confidence
- Win work through networking, relationship‑building, and leveraging the firm’s extensive internal network
- Refer work externally to the wider insolvency market and, in turn, benefit from reciprocal referrals
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with accountants, lawyers, lenders, and other introducers
- Play a key role in the continued growth of the regional practice
The firm already has a substantial internal pipeline, so you won’t be starting from scratch, but they’re looking for someone who can also bring or develop a small external network to complement this.
About You
- JIEB qualification and the ability to obtain an IP licence if you don’t hold one already
- A track record of managing corporate and/or personal insolvency cases
- Strong commercial instincts and the confidence to represent the firm in the market
- An existing introducer network would be advantageous, but not essential
- A collaborative mindset and the desire to help shape a growing practice
Why This Role Stands Out
- A genuine Director or Partner‑level opportunity
- A firm with real internal referral strength, meaning immediate access to work
- Freedom to build your own network and market presence
- A supportive leadership team that values autonomy and entrepreneurial thinking
- Competitive package aligned to seniority and contribution
