We have partnered with an Insurtech business in their search for an Associate to work in their credit risk team. Our client is aiming to bridge the gap between lenders and the insurance ecosystem.
Our client acts similar to a credit fund in assessing underlying credit risks to determine which loans to acquire from lenders. They work almost entirely with banking led clients to help de-risk their loan book. Should a lender have too much exposure to an asset class or a sector, they will assess the risk and viability of the deal and decide if they want to take them on before pricing the deal correctly.
The Role:
An Associate in this team will play a pivotal role in conducting in-depth analysis of financial statements, bank memos, management accounts and cash flow statements to assess corporate risks. The financial analytical work conducted is then used when deciding if banks loans should be acquired.
You will report directly into one of the Partners to help grow their single situation book: an individual enquiry on one specific borrower.
Aside from the analytical and commercial skills for assessing risks on potential loan deals, the role centres around relationship building with key brokers and clients to secure long-term business partnerships and future opportunities. As such, there will be occasional bi-monthly travel to meet clients located across Europe and the US.
Qualifications:
– ACA qualified or equivalent
– NQ and up to 1-2 years post-qualified experience from audit, transactions, M&A, restructuring.
– Entrepreneurial mindset, keen attention to detail and a passion for finance
– Proficient in MS Office and knowledge of programming language
If you're excited by the opportunity to blend your credit insurance expertise with the latest technological advancements, we'd love to hear from you.
Deadline for CV submission is Friday 15 November
