A well-established and highly respected national insolvency and advisory firm is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager / Manager to manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases in the Birmingham office of their national network. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong insolvency professional to progress their career in a supportive and structured environment.
The Role
You will manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases. Your workload will primarily include:
- Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs) – majority of cases
- Administrations
- Members’ Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs) – occasional
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and progressing your own caseload from appointment to closure
- Allocating work and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Preparing statutory reports, case diaries, and other documentation
- Maintaining strong communications with directors, creditors, shareholders, and other stakeholders
- Reviewing financial records and investigating company affairs
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Supporting business growth and delivering high-quality client service
About You
We are looking for candidates with:
- Proven experience in corporate insolvency within an advisory or restructuring practice
- Strong understanding of CVLs, Administrations, and MVLs
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, capable of managing a complex caseload
