A well-established and highly respected national insolvency and advisory firm is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager / Manager to manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases in the Birmingham office of their national network. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong insolvency professional to progress their career in a supportive and structured environment.

The Role

You will manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases. Your workload will primarily include:

  • Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs) – majority of cases
  • Administrations
  • Members’ Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs) – occasional

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and progressing your own caseload from appointment to closure
  • Allocating work and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Preparing statutory reports, case diaries, and other documentation
  • Maintaining strong communications with directors, creditors, shareholders, and other stakeholders
  • Reviewing financial records and investigating company affairs
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Supporting business growth and delivering high-quality client service

About You

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Proven experience in corporate insolvency within an advisory or restructuring practice
  • Strong understanding of CVLs, Administrations, and MVLs
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, capable of managing a complex caseload
  • Strong communication skills with directors, creditors, and stakeholders
