GRSL - Trading Analyst

The role :
An immediate vacancy exists to join Gambit's Trading Operations team. You'll be responsible for overseeing and managing algorithmic trading strategies in real time, making rapid, high-impact decisions, and delivering clear, actionable analysis and reports.
You should expect to work a mixture of:
- Weekend afternoon/evenings (typically 15:00-23:00, Sat-Sun)
- Weekday afternoon/evenings (typically 15:00-23:00, Mon-Fri)
- Weekday days (typically 10:00-18:00, Mon-Fri)
You'll develop expertise in analysing high-frequency trading behaviour, identifying patterns, and contributing to strategy improvements. Over time, you'll build hands-on experience with tools such as SQL, Python and Spark, supported by structured on-the-job training. We look for strong collaborators and communicators who enjoy challenges and significant responsibility, and who thrive in complex, dynamic environments.
The requirements:
- A university degree or equivalent qualification (analytical subject preferred but not essential)
- The ability to demonstrate strong numerical/analytical skills.
- The ability to think and work quickly, logically and accurately within a high-paced environment.
- Comfortable taking ownership of problems and working independently when required.
- Naturally curious, with a desire to understand how complex systems behave and why.
- An interest in football or sports betting is helpful, but not essential.
- A willingness to work at 'unsociable' hours.
- Excellent communication skills, including good written skills.
- An interest in/knowledge of sports betting would be preferable.
