Reporting into the Chief Product Officer, you will lead a small cohesive team to deliver projects relating to product delivery development or change (primarily consumables). The role is based out of GAMA, Fellows Research Centre, Halifax (HX4 8LR). This role is full-time, permanent and offers hybrid working (3 office, 2 home).
What will you do?
- Oversee the whole portfolio of new product developments and changes, whilst leading a small team:
- Delivery of new products or product changes
- Ensure, through the team, that all deliverables are in place (to defined stage gate and other processes)
- Deliver status updates on all agreed projects to cover time, cost, spec and budget
- Manage key project stakeholders across all functional teams, external suppliers and senior leadership
- Define and deliver improvements to process with support of the team
- Project Delivery ownership (90% of time):
- Maintain up to date project plans and documents
- Escalate issues appropriately
- Work to stage gate processes and quality standards

What will you need?
- Proven new product/change management/project management experience (delivery of time/cost/spec/resources/risks)
- Experience of working in a "product" related industry: infection prevention, medical devices, biocidal product or rigorous FMCG environment
- Experience of managing multiple projects concurrently and managing changing specifications
- The ability to work throughout the product development lifecycle communication of status, actions, and risks to all levels of a project team up to the Executive level and external stakeholders where required
- Experience of leading project teams where you do not hold line management responsibility
- A Project management qualification or extensive practical experience
- Reporting on the status of a portfolio of projects
- Process improvement
- A degree in a technical discipline – science, mechanical or electrical engineering
- Experience of leading small teams of project managers or other staff (supervisory or team leadership)
