Gama Aviation is a reputable Business Aviation company, working on both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. We are continuing to grow and expand, with exciting contracts being secured! As a result of this, we are seeking talented B1 Licenced Engineers to support an exciting project based in the Lincoln area.
You will be joining our team of experts working on a line of twin-turboprop Aircraft. As part of this role, you must be prepared to work flexibly as part of a team and as an integral part of the Gama Engineering Group, possessing strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
To be considered for this position you will hold a UK CAA/EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 Licence, preferably with the following type rating: Beechcraft King Air.
The successful candidate will join a long established and respected forward-thinking company that has a proven pedigree in career development within the organisation, with type and non-type training provided to develop your skills and capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of and performance/quality of performed works in compliance with applicable company process and procedures.
- Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with company procedures and process.
- Ensure correct compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain current the required engineering licence and applicable type rating as required to perform their duties and be responsible for ensuring their licences and type ratings do not lapse and are kept up to date.
- Accountable for providing professional communication with customers and contacts as required.
- To achieve and maintain applicable required security clearance level, SC, DV police checks etc.
- Responsible for ensuring all activity carried out in accordance with data protection rules and procedures.
- Individual responsibility for booking accurate, and consistent timekeeping in applicable software system.
Essential Requirements:
- An Unrestricted UK CAA B1 Part 66 License (with B200/300 type rating).
- To achieve and maintain applicable required security clearance level, SC, DV police checks etc.
- Extensive previous aircraft base maintenance experience with a wide knowledge and skill range in servicing, inspection repair and modifications.
- Satisfactory recency as required for issue of applicable certifying approval.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- Medically fit to pass a company doctors examination.
Job Specific Skills:
- Computer Literature, Using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong technical understanding and experience for specific aircraft type as dictated by site or contractual involvement.
- Working knowledge of Aviation regulatory framework, Part 145 / Part M / MAOS / CAA Leaflet B40.
- Command of English language, and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good knowledge of King Air aircraft maintenance and operations standards and practices.
- Good understanding of the concepts and requirements of SMS, Quality Assurance and Audits.
- Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear directions and manage workflow.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
- Flexible and able to travel and work at other customer or Gama sites.
