Gama Aviation is actively recruiting for an Aircraft Customer Delivery Manager, supporting our rotary operation in Staverton, Gloucester. The Aircraft Customer Delivery Manager will deliver the full life cycle planning and check management for all rotary Base Maintenance aircraft to achieve on time, quality and budget delivery of inputs. They will develop and manage a Base Slot Plan to identify future opportunities and ensure that the facility and all associated resources are utilised to maximise efficiency.

To ensure customer satisfaction and business needs are met, the role will require working in partnership directly with the customer and wider internal teams including engineering, procurement and CAMO daily, whilst producing accurate customer and internal service reports. The Customer Delivery Manager will be responsible for working in partnership with the Lead engineer or assigned engineer, to ensure the delivery for the aircraft is managed from the pre‑planning stage to release, including follow‑up and post‑visit. This role includes planning and managing all material for the aircraft under control. The financial health of an aircraft visit, related to the quote, emergent work, commercial activity and parts/material needs must be championed by the production planner. You will have a great deal of responsibility with endless opportunity for impact and freedom for initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service and client contact – point of contact for the customer and the interface between our engineering and support teams and the customer’s representative
  • Develop and manage a Base maintenance floor loading plan for all rotary sites.
  • Actively review proposed and ongoing inputs to maintain a viable slot plan; essential for long‑term planning and sales purposes
  • Detailed review of the work scope following CAMO/customer maintenance input request.
  • Engagement with wider engineering team to confirm scheduled inspection hours and required parts for quote generation purposes
  • Implementation of a database for timings related to task completion.
  • Arranging and leading pre‑input planning. Collating results to enable MSP coordinator to build all associated aircraft input work packs
  • Ensure the on‑time availability of job cards, drawings and manuals.
  • Review that all required elements are supplied with task cards to maximise efficiency in job accomplishment
  • In conjunction with MSP coordinator, responsible for parts & material pre‑ordering, arranging services and tooling, and ensuring sufficient & timely resources to be present.
  • Highlighting deficiencies to senior management and implementing a corrective action plan to remedy
  • Daily review and update of resource plan to effectively deploy manpower for achievement of quoted CRS dates.
  • Working with the centralised resource team to maintain an accurate database and provide stable teams for each input
  • Control of emergent/unplanned works, ensuring these are well‑communicated to stakeholders, solution arranged and associated cost elements approved, tracked and billed correctly through Service Edge
  • Control of technical enquiries with respective OEMs.
  • Updating databases and expediting resolution through engagement with our engineering teams and relaying to OEM support network
  • Conduct daily Base Maintenance Boardwalk to engage with engineering leads, monitor task accomplishment and identify potential constraints to allow actions to be implemented to prevent over‑runs
  • Chair weekly Base Maintenance Meeting to review all current inputs. This will encompass check progression, review of planned against booked hours, updates on all OEM technical enquiries, reviewing spares shortage lists and discussing key constraints that may impact the CRS as well as the actions taken to resolve
  • Generation and distribution of weekly progress reports for each aircraft to both internal & external stakeholders
  • Supporting the organisation to manage the documentation programme to maintain compliance with both regulatory and company‑based protocol.
  • Review work packages to ensure all data is entered correctly and ensure completed checks are relayed to the respective CAMO organisation and our own copy is retained in line with MRO procedures
  • Reporting of all SMS/Quality issues
  • Perform other section duties related to their position as directed by the line manager

Essential Qualifications

  • Previous experience of production planning & purchasing in an engineering environment
  • Working knowledge of Part 145/Part M regulations
  • Previous experience with project management/coordination and planning
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office mainly)
  • Proficiency in Service Edge
  • You must be customer orientated and an excellent communicator
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful periods well

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Recognised technical qualification in engineering or planning discipline
  • In‑depth understanding of Part 145/Part CAMO(M) regulations
  • Ordering of parts/material and vendor liaison
  • Team leading activity, project update meetings
  • Understanding of Aircraft Programmes for the supply of Parts
  • Competent in the use of MRO planning software such as Corridor, TRAXALL, CAMP, etc.
