Position: Licenced Engineer – B1

Location: Glasgow Airport

Working Hours: 5-5-4 Shift Pattern, 7am – 7pm

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out scheduled base and line maintenance activities at Glasgow Base and provide certification of own work along with supervision and certification of unlicensed engineers’ work;
  • Carry out aircraft maintenance as an unlicensed engineer when required for aircraft types not held on approval;
  • Ensure completion of customer order requirements when acting as supervising, certifying or category C engineer for a given input;
  • Perform AOG activities at and away from Glasgow Base;
  • Comply with GAEL Maintenance Organisation Exposition and published processes and procedures;
  • Ensure health and safety procedures, processes and COSHH are always observed;
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping for own day‑to‑day work and for engineers being supervised;
  • Assist the Commercial Department in generating estimates for line or base maintenance services, giving advice on man‑hours, parts, services and any likely additional costs;
  • Travel to and work at other GAEL bases for short periods as required.

Preferred Aircraft Types: Cessna Citation, KingAir 90/200/300

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold an unrestricted CAA/EASA Part 66 Licence, Category B1;
  • Be flexible and willing to travel to other Gama locations;
  • Computer literate with excellent communication skills;
  • Be eligible to hold a UK security clearance;
  • Full UK driving licence.
