Gama Aviation is a reputable Business Aviation company, working on both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. We are continuing to grow and expand, with exciting contracts being secured. As a result of this, we are recruiting for a Tooling Stores Assistant.
Reporting directly to the Tools Manager, you will be responsible for the control of tooling to the part 145 organisation and the associated engineering teams. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Tooling reports
- Issuing and returning of tools
- Calibration
- Inspections of kits
- Shipping out and much more
The successful candidate will conduct themselves in a professional manner responding to the business requirements efficiently. Aviation experience is desired but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate tool control process using the Companies MRP System
- Hands on approach to counter service, tool control
- Maintain the effective repair and calibration of tooling as required
- Audit Tooling iaw with policy and ensure compliance
- Mature sustainable relationships with management and engineering regarding tooling
- Inspection of tooling before and after use
- Effective self-management and performance ownership of the tool store
- Conducting Daily, Weekly and Monthly checks as requested / required
- Ensuring the Tool Store is kept clean, tidy and as efficient as possible
- Other duties as required by Tools Manager
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
- General Computer Literacy and Tool knowledge
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Applicable product knowledge
- Aviation Tool Stores experience an advantage
- An understanding of good tool support practice as well as experience
- Ability to use excel in a basic way, entering information and sending out information
- Flexibility in supporting the business
