Gama Aviation are currently recruiting for a B1.3 Licensed Engineer, this is a field-based role, supporting Gama's HEMS operation in the South of England. The role will be focused on maintaining the AW169 helicopter to maximise availability rates across the rotary HEMS fleet.
Working a 5/5/4 shift pattern, the successful candidate will provide engineering assistance for the four AW169 line stations, encompassing both scheduled maintenance and AOG recovery. Situated in the South of England, the field engineer will expedite AOG rectification through minimised response times. This will provide effective cover across our sites at Earls Colne, North Weald, Redhill and Henstridge.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the completion and certification of Mechanical and Electrical systems related tasks as defined in the MOE, on the Company’s aircraft.
- Completion of all paperwork and documentation.
- The issuing of all approved materials to the work via the Company’s computer system (Corridor).
- All work is completed using approved tools and ground support equipment.
- All work is completed in a safe and appropriate manner considering risk to personnel, property and reputation.
- All tooling is accounted for prior to return to service.
- All post maintenance actions have been completed.
- Completion of maintenance detailed in the Maintenance Status Report.
- Reporting defects to the Line Maintenance Manager or Planning Department.
- Reporting issues regarding Health and Safety or Flight Safety, via the Company’s reporting system (iQSMS).
- Engineering additional duties as directed by the Line Maintenance Manager or Planning Department.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
Essential:
- An EASA or UK CAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence.
- A strong maintenance related technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- A good working knowledge of the regulations and requirements associated with aircraft maintenance, Health & Safety and Human Factors.
- The ability to take responsibility and ownership of tasks.
- The ability to understand the requirement of clear, unambiguous communication.
- Familiarity with OEM appropriate to helicopter type.
- The ability to work alone and the willingness to travel.
This role is based in the South East of England to ensure effective coverage of our rotary line stations – minimising operational downtime during AOG situations.
