We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to work at our main bakery in Wigan. The hygiene team start times vary from 06.00 to 20.00. This position is 5 days out of 7 per week, including weekends. Working within an exciting and fast-paced environment, you will be a key member of our Hygiene team and will ensure the service we provide is exceptional quality. The role can be physically demanding with a good amount of pushing, pulling and lifting involved. You will be based in our Wigan main bakery. Full training will be provided. Overalls and work shoes provided. Staff discount for all of our products in our 23 shops.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day hygiene activities in line with daily requirements ensuring operational integrity.
- Cleaning and sanitising of equipment as per the hygiene schedule.
- Review equipment and highlight damage, escalating risks to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure that chemicals are used, stored and used correctly.
- Follow work instructions, highlighting any issues to the Hygiene Supervisor.
What we’re looking for:
- A cleaner with experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar environment, preferred not essential.
- Attention to detail.
- High level of accuracy.
- Team player.
- Comfortable working in a chilled environment.
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Progression is available.
