Wigan Area Bakery Shop Manager

Galloways Bakery is a long established family run Bakery in the heart of Wigan. We are a caring and conscientious employer who believe in setting standards for our employees. You will be fully trained and placed in any of our shops so you must have access to transport. We have several vacancies available in all areas. We have 23 shops located around the North West so come and join us and help make a difference.

We are seeking reliable and experienced Retail shop Managers to work in our busy Bakery shops based in and around Market Street, Hawkley Hall, Smithy Green and Platt Bridge

This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of shop operations, driving sales, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service and ensuring staff carry out their shop duties. This role requires strong leadership skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to motivate and develop your team.

Must be 18+ and due to continued expansion must hold a UK driving licence and own transport prefered.

Duties:

– Manage day-to-day shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service

– Lead and motivate your team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service

– Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

– Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing shop environment

– Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a professional manner

Skills:

– Strong time management skills

– Strong organizational skills

– Excellent communication skills

– Must have 12 Months previous experience in retail.

Sunday to Saturday working 5 days over 7
