Calling all Account Managers, would you like to work for the world's largest family-owned winery, home to a diverse portfolio of nationally and internationally recognized wine brands seen in all major supermarkets across the UK?

This role would see you working closely with customers, developing and achieving goals within the following key KPIs: volume, revenue, gross margin, account contribution, promotional budgets and distribution.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving volume, distribution and profit through effective account planning and building joint business plans for assigned national customers in the convenience sector.

All applicants will need to have full right to work in the UK as this role is not sponsored.

  • Participates in the development of annual plans for assigned customers.
  • Sells "Best Practices" concepts, philosophies and innovations to the customer.
  • Regularly consults with the Director, Account Management-UK, presents monthly customer business plans/promotions for approval, and advises of critical customer strategy changes and other important news.
  • Builds, presents, and approves a joint business plan with assigned customers, concentrating on volume & key financial metrics with the customer whilst achieving internal and external business objectives.
  • Engages with customer departments which develop key customer/consumer/brand insights; works cooperatively with the marketing department to report valuable insights to assist UK strategy.
  • Partners with the Sales and Demand Planning Analyst to execute planning excellence in the TPM planning software ensuring accuracy and critical analysis of trade promotion investment of all customers assigned within to the betterment of the company.
  • Accountable for accurate forecasting of product that will ultimately drive production.
  • Works close with the supply chain business unit to ensure we exceed our customer's in-store availability expectations whilst improving our cost to serve.
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable ensuring credit terms are adhered to and challenged to improve terms to the betterment of the company.
  • Makes decisions frequently that directly impact customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of category management or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience working for a Multi-National Corporation.
  • Required to have valid UK driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • WSET Intermediate level qualifications are preferred.
  • Able to communicate well with others.
  • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Skilled in effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
